About our 3 and 4 year Old Preschool

Our 3 year old program is a two day, morning only, tuition paid program. One group attends on Mondays and Wednesdays, another attends on Tuesdays and Fridays. There are no preschool classes on Thursdays.

Tuition for the 3 year old program is $55 per month, payable at the end of the month. Students that economically eligible may have their tuition paid for through a scholarship provided by Partnerships 4 Families. If you are interested in a scholarship, contact the elementary school or Partnerships 4 Families.

The hours for the 3 year old preschool are 8:30 to 11:30. Teaching staff are not in the classroom until 8:00 a.m. Bus students attending the 3 year old program will go directly to their room upon arrival at 8:00; non bus students may enter the classroom at 8:15.

Our 4 year old program is a four day, half day only, non-tuition program. We developed our 4 year old preschool program with a grant through the Iowa Department of Education.

One class group attends during the morning hours, another during the afternoon hours. There are no preschool classes on Thursdays. If you would like your child to attend BOTH the morning and afternoon classes they may, IF the classes are not full. Tuition for your child to attend the extra session would be $75 per month, payable at the end of the month.

The hours for the 4 year old preschool are 8:30 to 11:30 for the morning session; 12:30 to 3:30 for the afternoon session. Students arriving before 8:20 will be asked to wait in the gym during inclement weather or outside with other early arriving students. If students are wanting to eat breakfast, they may do so by entering the cafeteria at 8:00.

All tuition is due at the end of each month starting in September. The last payment is due the end of May. Checks may be made payable to the Guthrie Center Schools. Please do not include lunch money or other fees with the preschool tuition check.
